I believe every individual has the capacity for change, growth, and healing

My approach to therapy is grounded in a person-centered philosophy, where you are at the heart of the healing process. I believe that each individual is unique, and therefore, therapy is tailored to fit your specific needs, experiences, and goals. I place great importance on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you explore your journey toward healing.
I understand the profound impact trauma can have on all aspects of life, and my goal is to help you process and heal from these experiences in a compassionate and empowering way. I utilize a diverse set of therapeutic modalities to offer flexibility in treatment. I am fully EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained and am a Certified Trauma Therapist. I have completed intensive DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) training through the Behavioral Tech Institute and intensive Psychodrama Training. In addition to these modalities, I utilize CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) in my work and believe in a holistic approach to healing. By integrating these approaches, I work with you to identify patterns, develop coping strategies, and heal emotional wounds at your own pace.

TRAINING & EDUCATION

I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University. My education has been complemented by extensive hands-on experience in a variety of settings, allowing me to refine my skills in helping individuals navigate complex mental health challenges.
Throughout my career, I have worked at all levels of care, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the needs of clients across different stages of recovery. I have had the privilege of serving as the Executive Director of a Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for both adults and adolescents, where I was responsible for overseeing treatment services, staff, and program development. In addition, I served as the Clinical Director for residential and IOP/PHP programs specializing in eating disorders, where I led a multidisciplinary team in providing specialized care and support.
Earlier in my career, I gained invaluable experience working in residential substance use treatment facilities, detox programs, and inpatient hospitalization settings. These roles have provided me with an understanding of how trauma, addiction, and mental health issues intersect, and have allowed me to support individuals in their recovery across various stages of care.
My diverse background and training enable me to approach therapy with a deep understanding of the challenges many face, and I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care to those seeking healing and growth.
